About Us
The foundation of Rebecca’s mediation approach is based on connecting with people and helping them to achieve healthy boundaries moving forward. Her goal during each mediation is to achieve an empathic and respectful connection with her clients so that they can communicate with each other their desires and goals. Each mediation session is very individualized, with Rebecca focused on bringing out each person’s true perspective.
Rebecca specializes in family and divorce mediation. She helps couples in slowing down their interactions of communication to reveal deeper motivations to decisions; helping couples in moving forward toward positive interactions in their now divorced relationship.
In addition to being a prominent family and divorce mediator, Rebecca is also a Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, CDFA®, helping thousands of couples achieve better communication and expression of their inner wants and needs within their relationship. Rebecca as well has a unique 19 year career background that has included working at NASA\Johnson Space Center as a flight controller in the Mission Control Center. She has extensive experience in conflict management and dispute resolution, while serving on numerous Space Shuttle and International Space Station missions in Houston Command and Ground Control team lead roles under numerous NASA Flight Directors. Her critical thinking skills have allowed her to remain calm yet decisive during crisis scenarios.
Rebecca Marsh
Darolyn Mangrum is a family mediator, certified educator, and counselor, with over 25 years experience on various sides of conflict. With a particular gift for understanding the unique perspective of each party and reaching an agreeable solution. She prides herself on listening and has a determination for finding creative solutions in a safe and structured environment. Darolyn believes that independence and self‐determination in decision‐making is essential to good outcomes, this allows the parties to craft their own solutions.
Prior to pursuing a career in mediation to include civil, family dynamics, and divorce, she was a school counselor, as well as, an educator in public schools and higher education. She is currently focused exclusively on mediation. Darolyn currently serves as a mediator through the Harris County and Central Texas Dispute Resolution Centers.
Darolyn’s philosophy as a mediator is not about victory or defeat, it’s more about the ability to reach an understanding by letting go of the idea of who's right and who's wrong. She believes her role as mediator is to remain impartial while directing and facilitating the process to effectively encourage open communication between the parties.
